LWM Insurance Services has adopted policies in order to safeguard the personal information of the firm’s clients, their families, their businesses, and other related entities.
LWM Insurance Servicesclient relationships are deeply personal. We assist our clients with the personal and business assets. As a client of LWM Insurance Services, you entrust us with detailed personal information concerning yourself, your family, your investments, your business, and your estate and financial planning. Maintaining the security of confidential client information is a top priority for LWM Insurance Services. This privacy notice explains the firm’s collection, use, retention, and disclosure of information about you and others in your household.
Personal Information That We Collect
Depending on your relationship with us (for example, as a consumer policyholder; insured person benefiting under another policyholder’s policy, or claimant; witness; commercial broker or appointed representative; or other person relating to our business), Personal Information collected about you and your dependents may include:

Your name; address; e-mail and telephone details; gender; marital status; family status; date of birth; passwords on our systems; educational background; physical attributes; activity records, such as driving records; photos; employment history, skills and experience; professional licenses and affiliations; relationship to the policyholder, insured or claimant; and date and cause of death, injury or disability. - Identification numbers issued by government bodies or agencies
Social Security Number; passport number; tax identification number; military identification number; or driver’s or other license number. - Financial information and account details
Payment card number; bank account or other financial account number and account details; credit history and credit score; assets; income; and other financial information. - Medical condition and health status
Current or former physical or mental or medical condition; health status; injury or disability information; medical procedures performed; personal habits (for example, smoking or consumption of alcohol); prescription information; and medical history. - Other sensitive information
In certain cases, we may receive sensitive information about you for example, if you apply for insurance through a third party marketing partner that is a professional, trade, political, religious or community organization. In addition, we may obtain information about your criminal record or civil litigation history in the process of preventing, detecting and investigating fraud. We may also obtain sensitive information if you voluntarily provide it to us (for example, if you express preferences regarding medical treatment based on your religious beliefs). - Photographs and video recordings
Photographs or video recordings created in connection with our insurance or other business activities, including for claims assessment, processing, settlement, and disputes, or for other relevant purposes as permitted by law. - Information enabling us to provide products and services
Location and identification of property insured (for example, property address, vehicle license plate or identification number); travel plans; age categories of individuals you wish to insure; policy and claim numbers; coverage/peril details; cause of loss; prior accident or loss history; your status as director or partner, or other ownership or management interest in an organization; other insurance you hold; and details on products for which you have or seek a warranty. - Information from Other Sources
We and our service providers may supplement the Personal Information we collect with information from other sources, such as publicly available information from social media services, commercially available sources and information from our affiliates or business partners.
How We Gather Information
In order to deliver suitable investment advice and fulfill the firm’s fiduciary duties, it is necessary for LWM Insurance Servicesto collect and storedetailed information about the firm’s clients. The types of information we collect include, but are not limited to: names; residential, postal, and business addresses; phone numbers and e-mail addresses; Social Security numbers, including those of family members; detailed financial information including income, tax status and history, net worth data, and asset lists; insurance and estate planning documents, health-related information; and other personal, household, and business information.
To develop and deliver a recommendations to our clients, LWM Insurance Servicesmay gather information from any of the following sources: client profile forms; bank, brokerage, and trust account statements; financial and estate planning documents; interviews with you, with members of your household, and with trusted advisors such as your accountant, attorney, financial planner, estate planning professional, or broker; transactions we execute on your behalf; and information we receive from you in written, telephonic, or electronic form, or any other form you provide directly to us.
Our Client Privacy Policy
LWM Insurance Servicesprotects personal information by maintaining physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that meet or exceed applicable law. We do not sell, share, or divulge confidential information pertaining to our clients to any unaffiliated third party except as outlined in the three categories below. We do disclose, as permitted by law, certain information described above for the purposes outlined below.
LWM Insurance Serviceswill take appropriate technical, physical, legal and organizational measures, which are consistent with applicable privacy and data security laws. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any Personal Information you might have with us has been compromised), or if you have other data security questions or concerns related to LWM Insurance Services, please immediately notify us.
When LWM Insurance Servicesprovides Personal Information to a service provider, the service provider will be selected carefully and required to use appropriate measures reasonably designed to protect the confidentiality and security of the Personal Information.
If we believe the security of your Personal Information in our possession or control may have been compromised, we may seek to notify you of that development. If a notification is appropriate, we would endeavor to do so as promptly as possible under the circumstances, and, to the extent we have your e-mail address, we may notify you by e-mail.
Disclosure of Information Required to Conduct Business of Clients’ Behalf
In the normal course of conducting business for you, we mustnecessarily share or disclose some data about you to insurance brokerage agencies and insurance companies that underwrite insurance policies for our clients. Theseorganizations have their own privacy and client confidentiality obligations and procedures. You shouldunderstand that we would be unable to conduct business on your behalf without disclosing certain limitedinformation about you and your account(s) to these affiliated and unaffiliated third parties.
Disclosure of Information With Your Consent
We will only disclose personal information about you to third parties upon your written consent. The only exception to this policy is if/when LWM Insurance Services is required by a court of law that has issued a subpoena to release such information. LWM Insurance Services will only release specific information requested in by the court.
